"Home of the Hog.”
Wally’s doesn’t skimp on filling the Hogs with meat and cheese that is evenly distributed giving a blended flavor in every bite! Most are topped with our homemade sauces. Some contain homemade Thousand Island dressing, others have sauces made with horseradish or jalapeño sauce.
Among Specialty Hogs containing several kinds of meat are the Hoofty, Porky, Sassy, Zinger and Boss Hog.
Despite their names, not every Hog contains ham or bacon- the Tommy, for example, contains turkey. And the most popular is the meatless Veggie.
Owned by Wally and Sue Roberts, Wally’s began as just another hoagie shop when it opened in Emmaus in 1989. But the couple had a conflict with another restaurant in the same strip mall already having hoagies on it’s menu. Facing a possible lawsuit, a few changes were made and the “Hog” was born. Now they say what happened was a blessing in disguise. Six months later they added the Allentown location which through the years has had the opportunity to grow adding a grill and fryer while offering breakfast. Sue runs the Emmaus shop and Wally, along with their daughter, Alisha, take care of Allentown.
